Measuring the Depth of the Opioid Crisis

In the last years, around 2 percent of deaths in the United States were due to the opioid crisis. But deaths are only the most noticeable part of the crisis. According to a report, more than two million Americans have some problems with opioid, and over 97 million people took prescription painkillers. The e-learning centers of ASAM offers over 300 hours of eLearning courses to participants without any cost.  

Free eLearning courses teach how to recommend opioid safely to transform lives, research-based clinical strategies, and how to instruct the public about opioid addiction and its consequences. ASAM also provides online courses for doctors and the public preparing them for Addiction Board Prevention Medicine (ABPM) certification/re-certification. This online learning platform also includes chapter overviews, study materials, definitions, and practice test papers.
